After dark, sophisticated bars, candlelit restaurants, and traditional pubs light up the area, and just off the square are Cambridge's two main entertainment venues. The Corn Exchange has become known as the city's largest venue for live music, and the Arts Theatre is Cambridge's main theatre.

The Junction is the place to be for upcoming comedians and current bands and the Cambridge Arts Picture House features international films, classic and mainstream cinema.

The most common and effective method of transport to explore the surrounding countryside and nearby towns of Cambridge is car hire, a multitude of car parks are available in and around the city providing useful places to park close to the main sights and attractions.
