Cardiff

Cardiff, the capital of Wales is situated on the south coast between Newport and Swansea and is home to many main attractions including the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle and the new Welsh Assembly.

The National Museum and Gallery of Wales offers inspiring exhibits of Welsh history and culture. The Museum of Welsh Life is also located in this new capital City, as is the Welsh folk museum and impressive Llandaf Cathedral. Cardiff Castle is almost 900 years old and majestically displays Cardiff's ancient past.

Main shopping streets in Cardiff are Castle, Duke, St. Mary, High, and Queen. 12 graceful pedestrianised Edwardian arcades fill the area, the Castle Arcade, constructed in 1887 being the most established where an impressive wooden second floor overhangs the first.

Cardiff has a range of Pubs and Bars. The Angel Tavern, a local favourite in the Angel Hotel has its ceiling supported by wooden beams and hand drawn ale pumps, on the corner of Westgate Street this traditional tavern offers bar meals and impressive views Cardiff castle.
Bar 38, located on two floors on Stuart Street offers a more modern approach and serves a mix of drinks from cocktails to red wine.
For a more traditional night out, St. David's Hall is one the UK's leading centres for music and offers an extensive program, including international soloists, and orchestras.
